Butler County Man Sentenced To 16+ Years
For Methamphetamine Trafficking

TOPEKA, KAN. – A Butler County man has been sentenced to more than 16 years in federal prison for methamphetamine trafficking, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said today. He also was ordered to forfeit $7,810 in drug proceeds and three handguns.

Thomas E. Church, 54, Augusta, Kan., pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Grissom commended the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office and Assistant U.S. Attorney Greg Hough for their work on the case.
